A full-bore ball valve has a channel in the center of the ball that is the same diameter as the pipe, which means there is no obstruction when the fluid passes through the valve, thus achieving minimal fluid resistance. The full bore design makes this valve ideal for applications requiring high flow rates and high efficiency. In addition, full-bore ball valves also have better cleaning performance because the ball can be completely removed from the valve seat, making it easier to clean and maintain the valve.

3. Comparison between V-port and full-bore ball valves

Flow control: V-port ball valves achieve precise flow control by adjusting the relative position between the ball and the valve seat, while full-bore ball valves cannot provide precise flow control due to their fully open design. Therefore, in situations where precise flow control is required, V-port ball valves have more advantages, low temperature ball valves.

Fluid resistance: Since the channel diameter of the full-bore ball valve is the same as the pipe, the resistance of the fluid when passing through the valve is very small. The V-port ball valve has a V-shaped channel, which may cause certain resistance when the fluid passes through. Therefore, in situations where high flow and high efficiency are required, full-bore ball valves have more advantages.
