Ball Valve Soft Seal Materials

The frequently used ball valve soft seal materials are as follows:

PTFE is the most basic sealing material for ball valves with excellent corrosion resistance and low friction coefficient. It can provide good sealing performance over a wide temperature range.

PEEK is a high-performance engineering plastic with excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. It can be used as a substitute for PTFE as a soft sealing material for ball valves in some special working conditions.

NYLON is a synthetic thermoplastic polymer that is known for its high strength, toughness, and resistance to wear and tear. It is also resistant to many chemicals, making it a popular choice for use in harsh environments.

PCTFE is especially suitable for low temperature applications, offering excellent chemical resistance, low permeability, and good mechanical properties.

DEVLON is highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals, making it suitable for use in various industries where corrosive fluids are present. It has a low coefficient of friction, which allows for smooth operation of the ball valve and reduces wear and tear.
